About this event

Most Americans value DEI. They expect our businesses, schools and government to respect our diversity. But equity and inclusion are under assault today. Some don’t understand what DEI means. Others demonize it with false narratives.

In this informative session, guest speaker Kathleen Nalty will talk about:

• The meaning of diversity, equity, and inclusion • Diversity beyond just race and gender • The benefits of DEI in our lives • Better decision-making through DEI • Inclusive intelligence (or Who wants to be smarter than AI?) • Why organizations that promote DEI are higher performing • Why a majority of organizations are keeping their DEI initiatives • How a strong “me” culture is tearing down our community culture

Kathleen Nalty, JD, is a lawyer, author and 25-year practitioner and expert in DEI who has earned a dozen awards for her thought leadership and advocacy. She was a federal civil rights prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice working on cases involving hate crimes, police brutality, and slavery.
